The Titanium SDK 3.4.0 Beta for iOS 8 is now available, along with info on some of the changes that were made.

Appcelerator has been named a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Mobile Application Development Platforms.

This Week in Enterprise Mobility, Appcelerator takes a look at Google’s Enterprise Rebrand, Apple’s NFC capability in their new devices and Nokia bringing offline maps to their users.


Ben Bahrenburg gives us a full tutorial on Adding iOS8 Location Notification Permission Support to Titanium and How to fix iOS8 geolocation permissions in Titanium using iOS Beta6.

Fokke Zandbergen created a simple CLI to generate a CommonJS module for any Icon Font.

Ray Belisle posted a guest blog on onOpen and Android – the ugly.

Modules and Widgets

Vince Stross was kind enough to create and share these two modules:
Titanium Native iOS Module for Firebase
GeoFire for Titanium – a JavaScript library for realtime location queries using the Firebase iOS Module for Titanium.

TiNowPlaying – a module that allows you to set song attributes and handle remote control events (Lockscreen or Control Center) on your iOS app using Titanium.


Skydrop Mobile – for Android and iOS helps you save water by controlling your water sprinklers back at home.

MixPlayer – Is a combination of a radio station and MP3 player to listen to your favourite tunes without downloading them.
