tiConf speaker Nikhil Nigade

NikhilAnd last but not least in our series of tiConf speaker interviews before we start of with tiConf India is Nikh Nigade. He will speak about CommonJS and native modules.

Who is Nikh?

I’m Nikhil “Nikh” Nigade, perhaps the youngest speaker at TiConf 2014. I make apps like Zypher and Darkrume with 2 more in the pipeline.

I’m a UI Designer & Engineer for iOS apps. I’ve been doing this for 5 years, enjoying every bit of it. Why, you ask? Because I can’t find anything else that challenges me more. TiConf 2014 will be my first “Dev Conf”.

Why – as a designer – did you start using Titanium?

Back in 2011, I was looking for an iOS Dev to partner with me on app. Due to lack devs in my city, I decided to learn it myself, and Titanium seemed to be a zero-learning curve solution for me since I had been writing a lot of javascript then. What I dislike about it? Give us some UICollectionView goodness please. Apart from that, the just-released 3.3.0 SDK looks pretty darn solid!

What will your talk be about?

My talk is going to be about modules, all kinds of modules. Oh, and bacon too! More on that during the talk. I’ll mostly be touching base on how to creating modules, and their usefulness, and some pitfalls. Oh, there’s also a pop quiz, so be ready for that.

See ya’ll in less than 24hrs. Quite excited for this one.

– Thanks Nikh!
