Appcelerator Platform Engineering let us know how to get the Android v8 Runtime from the continuous integration builds. It is tagged as 188.8.131.52. If you try out V8, share your experiences on Twitter using the #titaniumV8 tag.
Interested to see the speed difference V8 will bring? criteriastudio shared a video of the same code running on iPad, Rhino, and V8.
Apple rejected some apps due to finding the word “Layout” in apps that it thought was a private API (it is not). Appcelerator acted quickly to address it. Here is the full history and a hopeful resolution.
