This Week in Titanium Mobile Development: 17 Oct 2011

This is all the Titanium Mobile development news I’ve gathered from the Twittersphere and Interwebs for the past week. I’m a couple days late so it is a big one!


Version 1.7.3 of the Titanium Mobile SDK is out. Launch Titanium Studio to update.

Aaron Saunders has been his usual buzy self. He has got an article on the Appcelerator developer blog on callbacks and events using the location API. Good programming practices here. He also had a cross post from his own blog on putting a toggle object on a TableViewRow. Finally, he shared some alpha code of a text field validator. Whew!

Tony Lukasavage continues his work on the Forging Titanium series with a cross platform ‘Form’ control. He should look up with Aaron on validation! It is also scarily similar to something I have built in the past.

It must be ‘Form’ week. Need masks for you text fields? Rafael Kellermann Streit has been sharing his maskfields in your textFields code on github. continues its video tutorial series with Handling Remote Data with HTTPClient and XML RSS Part 2.

Dan Tamas has finished up his Seven days with Titanium series with a tutorial on orientation and the accelerometer.

Connor Denman give his first video overview on Appcelerator Titanium on his blog.
